Cardio basically means the heart. Cardiovascular health is the health or the keeping the heart beat/rate at a certain level that would be seen as normal. If someone does not do cardiovascular activities or exercises there is a chance that that person will suffer some heart problems and may even die. Not only do you maintain your heart at a certain speed and level, you have lower chances of having heart diseases such as heart failure, stroke, heart attack, and even low blood pressure since the heart is responsible for pumping the blood and if you do exercises those diseases are less likely to happen to you. You should work out you heart for at least 20 minutes to an hour each day since you really need to exercise your heart to keep it healthy and to keep yourself healthy too. Another thing is that the heart is a muscle, and muscles need to be worked out to be kept strong and healthy, so doing cardio is very important knowing that. Another reason why working out your heart is important is because a strong cardiovascular system means that more oxygen is sent to the muscles by the capillaries. The last reason would be because not only are you making your heart stronger, keeping it healthy, but you are also burning fat and calories at the same time which is also important for your body.
